DOWNLOAD THE REVIEWPRO ADD-IN

Open Microsoft Word. Click the "Add‑ins"button from the Home ribbon. Depending on your organization's version of Microsoft Word, it may look slightly different than the image shown here. The Add-ins button is typically located in the top right-hand side of the Home ribbon.

Click the "Search Add-ins" window.

Type "LegalSIfter" in the search box. The filtered result will be "LegalSifter ReviewPro." Click the "Add" button next to "LegalSifter ReviewPro."

For many users, clicking the "Add" button is sufficient to download the add-in. If you encounter additional Microsoft pop-ups, follow the prompts as shown in this example.

For some clients, Microsoft may launch appsource.microsoft.com in a browser window as shown. Click "Get it now" or follow additional Microsoft prompts.

Need Help? If you encounter any issues at this step, please contact the IT or security team that manages Microsoft applications for your organization. Microsoft Word versions and settings are controlled locally by client organizations and may require changes to client configurations or security settings.

SIFT YOUR DOCUMENT

Once you've successfully logged in, open a contract in Microsoft Word.
PLEASE NOTE: ReviewPro cannot sift UNSAVED Files. To ensure proper sifting, please follow the "Save-First" Rule

Activate the LegalSifter ReviewPro add-in from the Home ribbon.

In the playbook dropdown menu, select your desired playbook. These options will vary, based upon the playbooks available to your organization.

After selecting your playbook, click “Sift.” ReviewPro will automatically analyze and
redline your document.

For most playbooks, Sifting typically takes 1-3 minutes.
• For some playbooks with 100+ rules, this may take 3-5 minutes.
• In rare instances, processing may take longer. This occurs when our “Guardrails
or quality control modules detect issues with the AI output and send it back for revision. If this occurs, you can think of this as expert reviewers collaboratively refining theirwork to achieve the highest possible quality.

REVIEW THE REDLINE RESULTS

Once ReviewPro has finished sifting your document, you can complete your review in Microsoft Word using one of the two methods below

· Document Review: read the contract top to bottom, clicking redlines as you go.

· Step-Through Review: use ReviewPro’s right-hand pane to navigate each change.

For each AI-generated redline, choose your action:

Keep: If you agree with the AI’s edit and want the counterparty to review it, simply leave it untouched. Alternatively, you can “Accept” the redline if you want it merged into the contract.

Reject: If the AI’s suggestion isn’t correct.

Modify: If the suggestion is close, adjust as needed. You can: edit words or phrases, change formatting (e.g., bold, italics, numbering), move inserted text into new paragraphs (or into a different location), and do anything else that you might do if adjusting someone else’s work.

Remember: The AI handles 95% of the routine redlining, but we rely on skilled reviewers to finalize language, ensure strategic alignment, and apply professional judgment.

"SAVE-FIRST" RULE

ReviewPro cannot Sift unsaved files. If opening a file from an email, always save your document as a .docx file before Sifting with ReviewPro.

· If the file arrived as an email attachment:
• Click Download or Save As first and store it in a folder you can write to (for example, your Documents or a synced OneDrive library).
Double-click the saved file to open it, then launch the add-in.

· If you are converting a PDF:
• Perform the conversion process. To convert a PDF file to .docx:
► In Word: click File → Open → Browse (to find files) → and select the PDF file you want to convert.
► Word will present a popup, indicating that it will convert the PDF file.
► Click OK to convert the file.
• Save the file as a .docx, then start ReviewPro.

· Make sure the file isn’t read-only or still in Protected View. If you see “Enable Editing” in the yellow bar, click it before you open the add-in.

Following this simple “Save-First” rule eliminates the most common launch failures we see with the add-in.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you experience errors when sifting with ReviewPro, please review the requirements below:

1. The document must be a .docx file. Other extensions (such as .doc and PDF) are not supported. However, you can easily convert PDF files to .docx using Word’s native conversion functionality.

To convert a PDF file to .docx:
► In Word: click File → Open → Browse (to find files) → and select the PDF file you want to convert.
► Word will present a popup, indicating that it will convert the PDF file.
► Click OK to convert the file.
► Click Save to ensure it is saved as a .docx file before you Sift.

2. The document must be saved first - either to a local drive, or a remote drive suchas OneDrive. If opening .docx files directly from email, please save the file to a drive before Sifting (see “Save-First” Rule instructions below).

3. Make sure the document isn’t read-only or still in Protected View. ReviewPro will need to edit your file. If you see “Enable Editing” in the yellow bar, click it before you open the add-in.

4. Make sure the contract does not have pre-existing redlines. ReviewPro cannot yet Sift documents with pre-existing redlines. Instead, you can accept or reject the preexisting redlines prior to Sifting.
(NOTE: We know that users will want to be able to Sift pre-redlined documents. This will be added to our product roadmap.)

5. Be aware of content controls & macros. ReviewPro can Sift documents with content controls and macros; however, the redlines near the content control or macro may show strange behavior, such as code-like or gibberish redlines, or an “Unknown: Field Code Changed” message.

6. The document must be a .docx file.

7. The document must be saved first

8. Make sure the document isn’t read-only or still in Protected View.

9. Make sure the contract does not have pre-existing redlines.

10. Be aware of content controls & macros.
