How to Upload a Document

2. Click "SIFT DOCUMENT"

3. Click the Document Type (Playbook) that matches the document you are going to review. For this demo, we will select 'Mutual Nondisclosure Agreement'.

4. Click "Continue"

5. Select a document from your computer drive that you want to review. It can be in PDF or Word format. Then click 'Open'.

6. The document will immediately start sifting. The sifting typically takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Once the document has been sifted, it will provide you with the time and date that it was sifted. Then select "OPEN" to view the sifted document.

How to Review Missing Concepts

7. The top of the screen shows concepts that the Sifters have identified as missing from the document.

8. These missing concepts are all concepts that were not found in the contract. After you review each missing concept, you can resolve the ones you have reviewed by clicking the checkmark on the righthand side.

9. If there is a missing concept that you may want to incorporate into the contract, click on the missing concept, and copy the 'RECOMMENDED LANGUAGE' by using the shortcut keys, CTL + C .

10. If you right click your mouse to copy and paste, you will get an alert telling you to use the shortcut keys. Click "GOT IT!"

11. Select language that you want to copy

12. Press [[ctrl]] + [[c]]

13. Scroll through the contract and decide where you would like to paste the language.

14. Paste the language by clicking CTL + V, the language will appear as an edit and your name will appear next to any edits you make to the contract. These edits will appear as tracked changes.

15. You can edit the sifted document in the application by adding (as shown above), deleting or upgrading the language.

16. Continue reviewing the missing concepts and resolve them as you go through them by clicking on the checkmark below

17. You can also bulk dismiss or bulk add back in all of the missing concepts by checking the box marked 'Missing' at the top

How to Use the Sifter Summary

18. To add any Sifters you dismissed back into the document, open Sifter Summary

19. Click "Missing"

20. Click this checkbox to add back in any missing concepts that you had resolved

21. You can also click this checkbox to also bulk dismiss or bulk add in all of the Sifters

22. Click here to see the found Sifters in the Sifter Summary. Sifter Summary will show you the Sifters in alphabetical order by order of priority

23. Click on any of the Sifters and it will take you to where that concept is found in the contract

24. Click this image of the three dots to get more information on the Sifter and to also be able to submit a Sifter Trainer.

25. You can click "Sifter Description" for a description of the Sifter

26. Click here to minimize the Sifter Summary

How to Review Found Sifters

27. You can review the found concepts by reviewing the Sifters in the right margin. You can analyze the language in the document and compare it to the Guidance found when clicking on the Sifter in the right margin. If you don't want to incorporate any information from the Sifter, you can dismiss the Sifters in the same way that you would resolve the missing concepts, by clicking on the checkmark.

How to Leave a Comment

28. You can also add comments. To leave a comment, highlight the language you want to comment on and right click

29. Click "Add comment"

30. Add the comment you want to leave and click "Comment"

How to Bulk Dismiss/Bulk Add

32. Click this checkbox to bulk dismiss or bulk add all of the Found Sifters. You can also dismiss the found Sifters by opening the Sifter Summary and checking or unchecking the found Sifter boxes.

How to Share a Document Internally

33. Click here to share a document internally with anyone who is a licensed user of the application.

34. Click this text field to add the user's email

35. Click submit to send the user an email with the document you want them to review in the site. You can adjust the permission given to the user you are sharing with to either make them an 'editor' or 'viewer' and you can include a message to them as well.

How to Export

36. When your review in the application is complete, you can export a document into Word, click "Export". Make sure to bulk dismiss all missing and found Sifters before exporting to only export your redline.

Help Center

37. Click "?" to view our help center

38. Clicking on "Help Center" will provide access to may help articles and videos which can be searched by keyword.

39. If you select 'Chat', you can chat with a live person from 8am to 8pm ET.
